Ebang Falguni is the creation of Sharmy Pandey a young poet.Her writings deal with sexual politics in a non-conformist style.Always controversial her writings display a young, no-holds-barred irony.An observer of life in a decaying post feudal third world existence.This is her first film.
This screening follows closely on the heels of its Asian debut in Kolkata,India on 19th November 2004 at its Asian premiere, where it set a heavy rush of cine-goers so that two shows had to be arranged in a very short notice.Attended also by some local press with critical acclaim.

"Roy was rebellious in spirit and his writings speak of sexual politics.The scenes of male nudity were essential to portray his perspective.But I had to face a lot of problems finding the cast who could do the masturbation scene", says the 30 year old first-time film-maker,who was later bailed out by a Rabindra Bharati University student.
This film was world premiered at the Alternative Film Festival, Picciano, Italy(October, 2004). 19th November 2004 marked the Asian premiere of the film in Kolkata,India.
