Publish Date : 10/29/2004 3:07:00 PM Source : Culture and Community News
MaxKnowledge and Career College Association today announced the availability of a new online training course for career college personnel.
Improving Retention through Timely Intervention is facilitated by MaxKnowledge faculty, Loren Kroh. Loren is the Co-Founder and President of Corvus, LLC, a company committed to improving student success rates at career colleges.
“This course looks at the effect of stress on attrition, the use of tools to identify and help students at risk, and how to develop an institutional culture that shares responsibility for student success across the entire organization,” said Loren Kroh.
“Student attrition represents a significant financial loss for the school as well as a loss of human resource for the job market. Every student who drops out also pays a very high personal price for not succeeding. Retention is certainly one of the most critical success factors in the career college industry,” said Dr. Amir Moghadam, Executive Director of MaxKnowledge. “With 25 years of experience in the proprietary school business and his extensive work on student retention intervention systems, Loren is uniquely qualified to teach this course.”
The online course is delivered in an asynchronous fashion and participants receive 0.4 Continuing Education Units upon successful completion of the training. The course is available on a continuous enrollment basis on the MaxKnowledge training portal: www.maxknowledge.com
