1. The first mistake is that people who are on a low carb diet tend to think that if they consume meat all day long, they are having a low carb diet. Not only is this perception wrong, but a high consumption of meat is never good. If you don't know which food contains high amount of calories and which don't, you won't be able to become successful in your mission. You don't need to be an expert in low carb dieting, but having a basic knowledge of low carb diets always helps.
2. Too many times you will find roadblocks in your way, as I told you before. Meaning that you will make mistakes, you will need to be adjusted frequently to your changing metabolic needs, and you wouldn't be very successful in the first few weeks. The key is to have patience, and you will see that slowly but surely, the low carb diet will have a positive impact in your health.
3. Another mistake is giving up too quickly. In the first few weeks after people start having a low carb diet, they tend to go hyper if things don't work as expected. For example, they consume too little carbohydrates, and suffer from carb crash, and then give up low carb diets altogether, when a simple adjustment would have helped them sail though the first few weeks toward the huge rewards that are offered at the end of the road.
4. Like I said in the first part of this article, simply eating meat all day won't do. Your diet needs to be rich in fiber as well. For this reason, you must include fresh fruits and vegetable in your diet.
5. It is true that in case of a low carb diet it is not necessary for you to count the calorie intake, but whoever said that calories don't count at all? Some people make the mistake of overeating - they tend to think that regardless of how much food they eat, as long as it is a low carb food it is not going to harm them. Big mistake let me tell you. Eating too much of food is always bad. The great thing about low carb diets is that it tends to reduce our appetite, which means that we can eat lower calories without getting hungry. My advice is that you should eat only when you feel hungry, and not otherwise, and stop eating once you feel that you have enough of it.
